Jacqui Germain is a published poet and journalist with a consistent but manageable love affair with oxford commas. She previously worked as a staff writer for Teen Vogue, and has original reporting, profiles, and commentary published in Artsy, The Nation, The Guardian, and elsewhere. Her first full-length poetry collection, Bittering the Wound, won the 2021 Center for African American Poetry & Poetics Prize and was published in 2022.
