STL Startup Week (Nov. 8-12) is a celebration and a showcase of the St. Louis region’s entrepreneurs. According to Entrepreneur, the region is on the precipice of leading the United States in 21st-century innovation, and is second in the nation in Forbes‘ list of rising cities for startups.

The week brings together 60+ education sessions and networking events to connect the region’s entrepreneurs and small business owners to resources that can help start and grow a young business.

“With more than 100 entrepreneur support organizations in the St. Louis region, STL Startup Week is a focused way for entrepreneurs to connect with these resources, access the 25 coworking spaces, and meet their peers,” says Phyllis Ellison, vice president of partnerships and program development at Cortex Innovation Community.

“In Missouri and across the nation, new business filings increased by 20 percent during the pandemic,” Ellison continues. “Whether it is due to need or following a dream, more entrepreneurs are starting new businesses and are in need of support to start and grow their businesses.”
